Ceilidh Calling
and
ceilidh Bands
I am an experienced ceilidh dance caller, available to work with bands. I can also arrange a band for your ceilidh.
If you are a band needing a caller, I can step in. I am based in North West England, and my dance repertoire includes traditional Irish ceili dances, Scottish dances, and dances from throughout England and Europe.
If you are planning an event (such as a wedding, handfasting, civil ceremony or corporate event), and want to book a full ceilidh band (including caller), I can arrange this through the bands I regularly work with. You can see a selection of them below.

Beer for Breakfast
A professional Irish/ceili band based in North West England, but able to travel far and wide. Bev is the regular caller, and your ceili (the Irish spelling of ‘ceilidh’) can be totally dance-focused or include a singer on request. The band can also be booked as an Irish band for listening (and clapping and singing along) to!

Hole in the Hedge
This trio features three of the most sought-after traditional musicians in the North West of England. Ben Farmer is the primary caller for Hole in the Hedge, but Bev sometimes calls a dance too when she is not playing flute and whistle in the band. The perfect compact line-up for a smaller venue.
Dances
Here are some of the dances I can call for you. This is not a complete list, just a sample of the kind of dances I do.
If you have a special request for your ceilidh that is not on this list, let me know!
