Weekly Irish Tunes Class and Slow Session

The Apothecary, Penny Street, Lancaster

Thursdays 2.00 – 4.00: See below for dates

IMPORTANT – PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF VENUE! We now meet at The Apothecary on Penny Street in Lancaster

Learn to play Irish jigs and reels at a slow and steady pace in a supportive, multi-instrumental setting! The first hour consists of learning a new Irish tune or set of tunes. The second hour is a session, in which we play Irish tunes together at a slow and steady pace. Participants may play any instrument, but instruments normally found in Irish traditional sessions are preferred. Currently we have a good mix of fiddles, whistles, concertinas, harp and flute, and we have a friendly, enthusiastic group of regulars who are always happy to welcome new members.
